We begin each year of classes in September and conclude in May with our dance recital at the Kansas City Music Hall. Our annual sessions consist of 36 weeks; 32 dance weeks which are divided into four 8-week quarters and 4 additional vacation weeks. We also offer a 7-week summer dance session in June and July which includes tap, ballet, jazz and ballet/jazz technique. Summer dance workshops are offered in August. The next opportunity for enrollment will be for our 2019 summer session. Registration will open online at the end of May.
Weekly classes are offered for 3-year-olds through 12th graders. Children must turn 3 by August 1st and must be potty-trained in order to begin dance class in the fall.
For your convenience, all enrollment is completed online. New students may enroll for classes by clicking Account Access at the top of this page. Follow the instructions for creating a new account and then enroll for desired classes. Returning students simply need to log into their existing account to enroll for all classes. Once you have enrolled your child in a class, you will receive an email that says your enrollment is pending. This is simply to ensure that the dancer has been placed in the correct class. Next, you will receive a confirmation email. You may then make your online payment. A student is considered enrolled when tuition is received. Payments may be made either online with a credit card or in person with cash. DSOD does not accept checks. Classes may not be reserved over the phone.
