We correlate our dance instruction with the school year. We begin our classes in September and will conclude our 2017-2018 session in June with a dance recital at the Kansas City Music Hall. We divide our dance year into 4 quarters. Each quarter consists of 8 weeks of instruction. There are also 4 vacation weeks (these are not missed classes). We also offer a 7-week summer dance session in June and July, technique classes in June and July, and summer dance workshops in August.
Classes are offered throughout the year for preschoolers through high school seniors.
Adult dance workshops (jazz & hip hop) are offered several times throughout the year..
For your convenience, all enrollment is completed online. Online enrollment for our 2017-2018 classes is now open. New students may enroll for classes by clicking "Account Access" at the top of this page. Follow the instructions for creating a new account and then enroll for desired classes. Returning students simply need to log into their existing account to enroll for all classes. Once you have enrolled your child in a class, you will receive an email that says your enrollment is pending. This is simply to ensure that the dancer has been placed in the correct class. Next, you will receive a confirmation email. You may then make your online payment. A student is considered enrolled when tuition has been received. Payments may be made either through our secure online bill pay system with a credit card or in person with cash. DSOD no longer accepts checks. Classes may not be reserved over the phone.
